Ramblinman is a script-based theatre company. Our approach is simple – let the text do the talking. We don’t buy the idea that plays have to be constantly reinvented to find relevance or meaning. We don’t want to lecture, tease, confuse or create parables for our audience – we’d much prefer to engage them with the power of the story simply by being faithful to the playwright’s original words. We want to make theatre-going a genuine, realistic, visual, entertaining and open experience.

Our next production is Sam Shepard’s True West, a gritty and menacing play throwing together the worlds of storytelling, family and authenticity, set against the backdrop of Hollywood money and popular culture. The play runs from the 6th to the 14th of April in the Smock Alley Studio.
